Shipping Information

The sale and transportation of alcoholic beverages varies greatly from state to state. Unfortunately, trade-restrictive legislation prevents us from shipping to the following states: AL, IA, IL, MA, MI, MS, NH, NJ, NY, RI, TX, or UT
If you’d like to have the freedom to order wine for delivery from whomever you wish, please contact your legislative representatives to help initiate these changes.

*We attempt to ship all wine orders at the beginning of each week. If the shipping method you select will not be able to arrive to the destination during the same week of the order, we reserve the right to hold your shipment until the beginning of the following week. We don’t want your wine exposed to potentially harmful conditions any more than you do! Your orders are stored in our Temperature Controlled Cellar until they are shipped out. We strongly discourage Ground delivery unless you live in Missouri or are a bordering state. If temperatures are extreme, we may hold your wine order for a period of time until ideal conditions for shipping arise. During the summer and winter months, there are period of times that we only ship via Air Delivery. When you invest in fine wine, Ground delivery is not recommended.

*When entering a shipping address, we strongly suggest you use a BUSINESS ADDRESS. This will help insure that someone will be available to sign for the shipment as an adult signature will be required.

All packaging materials are included in your shipping cost. While we prefer to use environmentally-friendly shipping containers when possible, we have found that foam shipping units provide better insulation from extreme temperatures. If you prefer that we use recyclable shippers only on your shipment, please let us know when ordering.

Insurance is strongly encouraged on all wine orders so we can properly cover your order for any damage that might occur during shipping. Some items are not replaceable, and can be either substituted or a refund given if damage occurs.

*We try to ship out orders on the day in which we receive them, assuming shipping conditions are ideal. But there are instances where your order may not be shipped out due to the volume of orders we receive. All air shipments receive priority over Ground delivery. We make every attempt to ship out Air shipments the day they are received, but make no guarantee.

TERMS: ALL WINES ARE SOLD IN MISSOURI AND TITLE PASSES TO THE BUYER IN MISSOURI AFTER IT IS DELIVERED TO THE CARRIER FOR SHIPMENT. We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import alcoholic beverages into any state outside of Missouri. The buyer is solely responsible for shipment of wines. By placing an order with your credit card, check or cash, you authorize Brown Derby to act on your behalf in processing and shipping the order, including engaging a common carrier to deliver your order. WINES MAY BE SOLD AND DELIVERED ONLY TO PERSONS WHO ARE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD AND IN PLACING YOUR ORDER, YOU REPRESENT TO US THAT YOU ARE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD AND THE PERSON TO WHOM DELIVERY WILL BE MADE IS AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD. When your alcoholic beverages are delivered, the person receiving will be required to show identification proving that he or she is at least 21 years old. All sales are subject to applicable Missouri State and any city sales tax. All wines featured in our online store are subject to availability. If a wine listed is not available, substitutions may be suggested but will not be made without the buyer’s consent. All our wines are stored in a climate-controlled environment, and we take great care in checking the condition of the wine we purchase; however, as is tradition in the wine trade, all bottles over 10 years old, are sold at the buyer's risk. Every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, but in the event of a pricing error, in-store will prevail.
